Research

The Jacobi Department of Medicine's close affiliation with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine affords many opportunities for research. Clinical or laboratory research projects are generally undertaken during elective time in the second year of fellowship. In addition our fellows are provided opportunities for research at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.

Our fellows have been able to perform high quality research with nationally and internationally recognized experts in Nephrology.

All our fellows have presented their work at the national meetings such as the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation. In addition, our fellows have authored papers in top ranking scientific journals. They have been winners at the "Fellows' Night " held at Cornell University Medical Center by the New York Society of Nephrology.

On the Jacobi campus, the new Price Center for Translational and Molecular Biology Research is evidence of Einstein's continuing commitment to excellence in Medical Research.
