CURRICULUM
The basic curriculum provides
a balanced mix of in-hospital and ambulatory care training. On
the medical wards, intensive care units, coronary care units,
and specialty units at Jacobi Medical Center and Einstein
Hospital, house officers work in teams consisting of residents,
interns, sub-interns (fourth-year medical students), and
clinical clerks (third-year medical students). These teams are
responsible for providing essential medical care to hospitalized
patients on their services. Other daily activities include daily
work rounds, attending teaching rounds and conferences.
